The above represents the Government Action Committee’s top priorities
for the 2008 legislative session. However, this is not a complete list of our
priorities. The Maui Chamber of Commerce will also be following and providing
advocacy on countless other business and community issues, including those that
many Chambers throughout the state count among their priorities, several of
which are listed above, along with: education, energy, health care, infrastructure,
land use, and workforce development.
The Maui Chamber of Commerce understands that sustainability will be a key
topic addressed this session and supports the Triple Bottom Line—economy,
environment, and social well being—as a lens for creating a sustainable
future.
